Reiki works by allowing energy to move through the body and chakra system, clearing imbalances and restoring flow where it's been interrupted. I work in the Usui tradition - the original lineage of Reiki as developed by Mikao Usui in early 20th century Japan, and the most widely practiced form in the world today. Your energy, your higher self, leads the process. I hold space and act as a channel.
Research shows Reiki activates the parasympathetic nervous system - the branch responsible for rest, recovery, and regulation - and clinical studies have found statistically significant reductions in pain levels among people who receive regular sessions. The body responds to this work in ways that are real and measurable.

I came to this work through my own experience. For years, whenever I dropped into a deep meditative or intuitive state, I would see violet - it kept showing up, and eventually I stopped wondering why and started paying attention to what it meant.
Violet is the color of the crown chakra, the place in our energy system where we move beyond the noise of daily life and access something wider - our intuition, our higher selves, the part of us that already knows. That's what I built The Violet Space around.
After finding my way back from burnout through energy work, rest, and deep self-reflection, I felt called to hold that space for other people - particularly those who give a lot of themselves and rarely pause to receive. Mothers, caregivers, people in the wellness and beauty world, anyone who's been running on empty long enough that it started to feel normal.
Sessions are grounded and intuitive, and right now I'm practicing at Antoine du Chez Salon & Spa in Centennial, where you can book directly through the salon.
